Ever wondered what card has the best signup offer? It's hard to know, especially with all the different point types. The following list, while not all inclusive, has most of the popular cards along with relevant information (annual fees, past offers, min spend requirements, etc). Hopefully this will help you to make a decision on which cards to target in your points earning strategy.
A couple things to remember:
- Just because it has a high dollar value does NOT mean you should target it. Often, the lower the initial sign up value the higher the spend benefits are. For example, the most lucrative card on this list is actually in last place (Discover IT/Miles card).
- Please target cards with a redemption in mind. If you just get a high value card but hold on to the points until something comes up you run the risk of the program becoming devalued. While this is not guaranteed to happen, the less risk the better.
- Pay close attention to the Minimum Spend. If you are proficient in MSing this is usually not an issue. Beginners should still take it easy until they feel they can MS without issue.
